This evening workshop is all about learning our signature Peacock glazing process while creating a beautiful\, functional piece you’ll use for years to come. \nDuring this guided workshop\, you’ll choose from a curated selection of stoneware bowls and blates\, then learn our Peacock Technique using specialty high fire glazes. With layered color\, movement\, and depth\, no two pieces are ever the same. The best part? The technique is virtually foolproof\, making it approachable for beginners and still exciting for experienced painters. \nStoneware is designed to be used\, not just admired.All pieces are oven-\, microwave-\, dishwasher-\, and freezer-safe. Fired at higher temperatures\, stoneware is stronger and more durable than standard pottery\, making it perfect for everyday meals\, entertaining\, and special occasions. \nChoose Your Piece\nOptions include: \n\nOur most popular serving bowls\nBlates (a bowl + plate hybrid\, perfect for pasta\, salads\, and saucy meals)\nPasta bowls\nPairs of select dessert\, petite or ice cream bowls\n\nYour final piece selection will be made the night of the workshop. \nPricing & Reservation Details\n\nA $25 deposit reserves your seat and will be applied toward your piece the evening of the workshop.\nFinal pricing will vary based on the piece you choose\, with most guests spending $50–$65 total.\nThis allows you the flexibility to select the piece that feels right for you that night.\n\nYour workshop includes:\n\nYour chosen stoneware piece\nSpecialty high-fire stoneware glazes\nStep-by-step instructions from our team of Creatologists\nFiring\n\nPlease note:\n\nWorkshop is by reservation only.\nDeposit and payments are non-refundable.\nIf you’re unable to attend\, credit may be applied to a future workshop if you notify us prior to the event.\n\n\nTerms and Conditions \nWalls of Clay has proudly served downtown McKinney for 25 years. The following terms and conditions outline the guidelines for participation in our workshops and events. By registering\, you agree to these terms. \nGeneral Policies \n\nNon-Refundable Purchases: All purchases are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend your scheduled event\, you must notify us by email at info@wallsofclaymckinney.com or by phone at (972) 547-4472 prior to the event. With proper notification\, a credit will be issued to your account for future use.\n\nNo Shows: Failure to notify us or attend the event will result in forfeiture of your payment. No refunds or credits will be provided.\n\n\nCredits: Credits issued for missed events do not expire and may be used for any workshop or open studio session. Credits cannot be redeemed for cash.\nKiln-Fired Arts Disclaimer: Due to the nature of kiln-fired art\, occasional imperfections\, cracks\, or other unexpected outcomes may occur during the firing process. While we take every precaution\, some factors are beyond our control. In the rare event your piece is damaged during firing\, we will issue a credit along with our sincerest apologies.\n\nSpecialty Items \n\nSpecialty items include techniques or materials not available during regular studio hours (e.g.\, themed techniques\, specialty glazes\, glass\, and clay projects).\nYour purchase for these events is non-refundable. If you are unable to attend\, notify us prior to the event to receive a credit for a future workshop or open studio.\nFinished items must be picked up within 30 days of notification. Unclaimed items will be donated or discarded.\n\nDeposits \n\nDeposits for events are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend due to a schedule conflict\, emergency\, illness\, or weather-related issue\, notify us before the event via phone or email. Your deposit will be converted into a credit for future use during open studio hours.\n\nRegistration Fees \n\nRegistration fees are non-refundable. However\, you may transfer your registration to another individual by notifying us in advance.\nIf the event is full and we can fill your spot\, we will convert your registration fee to a credit for future use.\n\nClay Hand Building Items \n\nFinished clay hand-building pieces must be picked up within 30 days of notification. After 30 days\, unclaimed items will be donated or discarded.\n\nGlass Safety Note: \n\nGlass has sharp edges! By working with fused glass\, you (and your guests) voluntarily accept all risks associated with the creation of your art project including\, but not limited to\, cuts or other injuries from glass.\n\nAlcohol Policy (If Applicable) \n\nBy participating in an event involving alcohol\, you confirm that you are 21 years of age or older and will consume alcoholic beverages responsibly.\nWalls of Clay attendees are expected to drink responsibly and ensure they have a safe\, responsible means of transportation before leaving the studio. Anyone believed to be intoxicated before entering the studio may be denied entry.\nOur team is dedicated to your safety. If we feel you are intoxicated or impaired\, Walls of Clay LLC will take the following steps to ensure your safety and those around you:\n\nSeek a designated driver.\nIf no driver is available\, we will ask for the contact information of someone who can pick you up.\nIf no one is available\, we will call Uber or Lyft\, your choice.\nIf you refuse steps 1\, 2\, and 3\, we will call 911 and let law enforcement handle the situation.\n\n\n\nGeneral Release \n\nPictures and videos may be taken during workshops and events for use in Walls of Clay’s marketing and advertising efforts\, both in print and online.\n\nAuthorization for Emergency Medical Attention \n\nBy accepting these terms\, you authorize Walls of Clay and its staff to administer general first aid for minor injuries or illnesses. In the event of a life-threatening emergency\, you authorize Walls of Clay to summon emergency personnel and provide necessary medical care\, including treatment by licensed professionals. You accept financial responsibility for any medical expenses incurred.\n\nLiability Waiver \n\nBy participating in a workshop or event\, you agree to release\, defend\, indemnify\, and hold harmless Walls of Clay LLC\, its employees\, agents\, officers\, and directors from any claims\, damages\, or injuries arising directly or indirectly from your participation or that of a minor child.
