DESCRIPTION:Creative Escape: Specialty Workshops During Arts in Bloom \nJoin us on Saturday\, April 12th\, for a creative escape during Arts in Bloom in Downtown McKinney. We’re offering two limited-seating workshops\, each designed to help you experience the festival in a hands-on\, memorable way. Choose one—or double the fun and join us for both! Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned maker\, these guided sessions feature exclusive materials and techniques not available during regular studio hours. \nSeating is limited to just 8 participants per session. A $25 deposit reserves your seat and is applied toward your finished piece. Due to the small class size\, deposits are non-refundable\, but they are transferable to another guest or\, if we have a waitlist\, we’re happy to help fill your spot. \nReserve your place early and make this year’s Arts in Bloom weekend truly hands-on.  Please give yourself plenty of time to find parking since the streets will be closed due to the festival.   \n\nStoneware Social10:00 – 11:30 AM | Saturday\, April 12th \nExperience stoneware like never before in this guided glazing workshop. Choose from a handcrafted stoneware beer stein\, mug\, or stemless wine glass\, and learn how to use our newest glaze line along with stunning crystal glazes for a one-of-a-kind finish. This is the first time we’re offering this technique\, and it’s only available during this special session. \nWhether you’re glazing for yourself or making something to gift later\, this is a unique opportunity to try something new with personalized guidance. \nWhat’s Included: \n\n\nChoice of Stoneware Stein\, Mug\, or Stemless Wine Glass \n\n\nAccess to New Stoneware Glazes and Crystal Glazes \n\n\nGuided Technique Instruction \n\n\n\nPaint a Candle Vessel & Choose Your Scent12:30 – 2:00 PM | Saturday\, April 12th \nBack by popular demand\, this candle workshop lets you design a piece that looks as good as it smells. Choose from two different ceramic candle vessels and paint your piece using our traditional glaze palette or our new\, event-only crystal glazes. After firing\, we’ll pour your candle using your scent of choice from our curated collection. \nThis workshop offers a relaxed creative experience and a finished product perfect for gifting or adding a little luxury to your own space. \nWhat’s Included: \n\n\nChoice of Ceramic Candle Vessel \n\n\nYour Choice of Glazes (traditional or new crystal glazes) \n\n\nSelection of Fragrance from Our Studio Scent Bar \n\n\nCandle Poured After Firing and Ready for Pick-Up \n\n\nTERMS & CONDITIONS \nWalls of Clay has been in downtown McKinney for 23+ years. Our practices\, policies\, and procedures are fair. Our number one goal is to provide an awesome experience for our guest(s) and our policies allow us to do just that. \nPlease Note: This technique is exclusive to this workshop and is not available during regular studio hours. Due to the limited seating and special materials involved\, the $25 deposit is non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend\, you’re welcome to send someone in your place. While refunds are not offered\, we’ll gladly assist with transferring your spot if we have a waitlist. \nDue to the nature of kiln-fired arts\, slight imperfections can occur. And on rare occasions\, kiln-fired pieces can crack\, shatter or do the unexpected during the firing process. While we take every precaution to ensure that this does not happen\, there are some factors that are beyond our control. If a piece cracks or shatters\, a credit will be issued along with a ginormous apology because we hate to see bad things happen to your creations. \nALCOHOL POLICY (if applicable): I agree that I am 21 years of age or older and will consume my alcoholic beverages responsibly. I release and waive any and all claims or action that may arise against Walls of Clay LLC\, its affiliates\, successors or assigns as well as the owner and employees/contractors as a result of anything which occurs before\, during or after my session including to but not limited to injury\, loss\, theft or damage to any person or property. \nGENERAL RELEASE: Pictures and/or videos may be taken during our workshops to use in print and online marketing/advertising. \nAUTHORIZATION FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL ATTENTION: By accepting the Terms & Conditions\, I grant my authorization and consent for Walls of Clay and its staff to administer general first aid treatment for any minor injuries or illnesses experienced by the guest/customer/minor. If the injury or illness is life-threatening or in need of emergency treatment\, I authorize Walls of Clay to summon any and all professional emergency personnel to attend\, transport\, and treat the guest/customer/minor and to issue consent for any X-ray\, anesthetic\, blood transfusion\, medication\, or other medical diagnosis\, treatment\, or hospital care deemed advisable by\, and to be rendered under the general supervision of\, any licensed physician\, surgeon\, dentist\, hospital\, or other medical professional or institution duly licensed to practice in the state in which such treatment is to occur. I agree to assume financial responsibility for all expenses of such care. \nLIABILITY WAIVER: I hereby release\, hold harmless\, defend and indemnify Walls of Clay LLC and its employees\, agents\, officers\, and directors from any and all damages\, injuries\, claims\, and causes of action which may accrue to or be asserted by me or any minor child of mine arising directly or indirectly out of my minor child’s participation in a workshop.
